‘In March this year I was privileged to represent our great school in receiving the DfE Character Award from the Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP.  Therfield was chosen from over 550 applicants as one of the 27 recipients of this award and the only secondary school in the south east of England. The Secretary of State said….

“The Character Award winners prove that there are teachers, schools and organisations across the country who are doing excellent work to develop well-rounded individuals.”

The dedicated work of the team of adults at Therfield is shown through this award.’

Mr James Malley

“The trip to the Character Awards event was a unique opportunity for me. It was very special accepting the award and talking with Nicky Morgan was an exciting but nerve-racking experience.  I am really grateful to the school for giving me such a fantastic day.”
