We are very pleased with our A Level results this year; over 40% of the grades achieved were A*-B with an impressive over 1 in 6 of all grades receiving the very highest levels of A and A*. We would like to congratulate all our students whose hard work combined with outstanding support and teaching from dedicated staff has led to these results. Particular congratulations go to Oscar Donlan with four A*s who has gained a place at Cambridge University to study Maths. Oscar also took the Sixth Term Examination Papers (STEP) in Mathematics. The STEP papers are a well-established mathematics examination designed to test candidates on questions that are similar in style to undergraduate mathematics and Oscar achieved three ‘S’ (‘Outstanding’) grades. Oscar continues the tradition of Therfield students taking up paces at Oxbridge universities with results to be very proud of!
Other notable achievements:
• Joe Crowhurst – 2A*s, 1A
• Anna Creswell – 1A*, 2As
• Emily Cornwell, Rustom Parekh – 1A*, 1A, 1B
• Gus Goodbun – 1A*, 2Bs
A wide range of places were taken up by students covering a varied spread including the Royal Engineers and Apprenticeships as well as places at Universities as far ranging as Kingston, Sussex, Birmingham, Sheffield and the Netherlands in subjects as diverse as Education, Aerospace Engineering, Human Rights, and Zoology. 15% of students have taken up places at Russell Group universities.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our students the very best with their futures at University.
